Wichita Falls ISD is in the design and advancement phase for two new significant educational facilities and their athletics and wonderful arts facilities.

District officials purpose to bid out tasks, funded by two independent bond actions, in October and start transferring dirt in November, WFISD Superintendent Mike Kuhrt explained. 

“The purpose was to quickly observe this organizing for the athletic fields,” Kuhrt claimed just after a the latest university board meeting. 

David Potter of BYSP Architects of Wichita Falls presented to the university board the schematics for athletics and recreational services at the meeting. 

The facilities will be paid for by a $13.585 million bond issue authorized May perhaps 1 by voters. 

WFISD is kicking in a further $4 million about a couple of years from district funds to increase the athletic services up to competition level. 

The district produced 14 webpages of schematic ideas for the athletic and fine arts services. They are available for viewing below. 

The designs include designs for soccer, baseball and softball fields, as well as tennis courts, marching band services, restrooms, storage buildings and other capabilities.

“They’ve definitely been operating with our staff to appear up with what we want that to glimpse like,” Kuhrt stated soon after a distinctive university board assembly Tuesday. 

Trustees unanimously authorised the types for the athletics and recreational facilities after Potter’s presentation. 

So the district “can go ahead now and into style and design enhancement,” Kuhrt stated. 

Architects are shifting forward with drawing extra in-depth types of the two new significant colleges, themselves, and will do the similar for the athletic services, he claimed.
