Saints vast receiver Michael Thomas took a swipe at the group on social media Monday, but head coach Sean Payton averted commenting on it afterwards in the working day.
Thomas wrote on Twitter that “they experimented with to damage your reputation” and that he “saved theirs by not telling your facet of the story” in evident reference to a current report that he dismissed calls from Payton and others in the Saints for months just before choosing to have ankle medical procedures in June. Thomas is envisioned to overlook regular year time as he recovers from the operation.
Through his Monday push meeting, Payton was questioned to comment on Thomas’ tweet but declined to do so.
“I do not want to have a press convention centered on social media,” Payton said, via Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Advocate.
Thomas’ identify arrived up in trade chatter past year as he was missing time with the ankle harm and he also served a just one-match suspension for punching teammate C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the course of practice. There has not been a great deal speak about a potential trade not long ago, but going on may well be in the cards if Thomas and the Saints continue on to have concerns with a person a different.
