
Apps for $420M compact small business grant application now open

MADISON, Wis. — Applications for $420 million in state-operate compact organization restoration grants are now open up.
The grants will give flat awards of $5,000 to up to 84,000 Wisconsin organizations with annual gross profits among $10,000 and $7 million.
Gov. Tony Evers declared Monday that the applications will open up Tuesday, May 24 at 8 a.m. Applications will stay open by means of 4:30 p.m. on June 7.
“We want compact businesses to know that help is on the way, and we’re happy to be able to announce these software dates so we can get these money to our compact businesses as rapidly as feasible,” Evers said. “Our organizations will be in a position to use these funds to restock shelves, capture up on expenses, rehire and keep employees, and assist keep on maintaining folks secure so we can bounce again with each other.”
The grants are funded by dollars the point out acquired as part of the federal American Rescue Program. The application is a collaboration amongst the Wisconsin Economic Improvement Corporation and the Section of Revenue.
